Lecturing on inspiration, he painted watercolor demonstrations while bach played in the background. peter eisenman, robert stern and cesar pelli sat in the audience. it was sensational.

Bulding Cost
If I remember correctly, the building and landscaping cost $116 million dollars. The original budget was $38 million but add-ons were approved which more than tripled the price.

No hay palabras para expresar tanto ingenio y técnica a la ves, siempre he relacionado a Calatrava con Dalí, porque el nos lleva aun mundo en ocasiones tan surrealista pero que a la ves nos muestra una realidad pura y tangible; donde se conjugan el ingenio del hombre y la tecnología que desborda cualquier barrera.

cuestion de presupuesto..
no hay detonante mas efectivo para la imaginacion que la ausencia de limites, entre ellos de suma importancia, el economico. Pero para lograr luz verde y dejar volar la imaginacion se necesita muchisimo trabajo duro previo. Calatrava se lleva las palmas en este departamento. Su mente innovadora y sin limites dan como resultado edificaciones que trascientden el plano arquitectonico o ingenieril para convertirse en obras de arte habitables. BRAVO POR EL ESFUERZO Y POR REGALARNOS INSPIRACION A QUIENES DESEAMOS COSAS DISTINTAS A LO NORMAL... COSTA RICA 07/05/04

JUST A WHLE AGO ME AND MY CLASS TOOK A TRIP TO THE MAM...ONCE WE PULLED UP TO THE BUILDING I WAS LIKE WOW!! THE BUILDING ITSELF WAS JUST AMAZING! AND ALL THE ART INSIDE, WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE!! MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE NOW VISTIED IT A COUPLE TIMES SINCE...IT’S JUST A GREAT PLACE!!!

Calatrava puts the Architecture as the greater art, and the other arts and sciences are to its service again, pushed but there of them limit of its time. Alone therefore, deserves a place next to Gaudi and other geniuses of the Architecture. Calatrava entroniza la Arquitectura como el arte mayor, y las otras artes y ciencias están a su servicio nuevamente, empujadas mas allá de los limites de su epoca. Solo por eso, se merece un lugar junto a Gaudi y otros genios de la Arquitectura.

Un poco de todo
¿Porque digo que es un poco de todo? Simplemente por que es lo que salta a la vista, una perfecta fusión entre la ingenieria y la arquitectura. Posee el ingenio para resolver las estructuras de la primer disciplina y la belleza estetica de la segunda.

Calatrava is a very amazing people, sometime I think he is an alien: from outside of Earth. His thinking just beyond the way of normal people thinks. I am studying in achitecture, I always feel his works are so good and amazing.

Las obras de Calatrava son únicas, resultado de un genio que estudió arquitectura e ingeniería civil, de ahi la mezcla. Y eso que dices sobre la arquitectura, que no es pura ya que no es cálida.... es una descarada declaración sin bases. La calidez no es ni regla y requisito, y no existe tal cosa como arquitectura pura o ingeniería pura, simplemente existen las dos como tales.

Encuentro que este museo, corresponde a la union perfecta entre arquietctura e ingierneria, siendo un hito dentro de la arquitectura moderna. Logra un equilibrio perfecto entre la forma y espacio.

I do not like it really very much
Esta, como muchas otras obras de Calatrava no me agrada demasiado porque la encuentro demasiado sofisticada. No es ni ingeniería civil pura ni es arquitectura pura. Como ingeniería es demasiado presuntuosa, como arquitectura, no es cálida. --------------------- I do not like it very much because of its unnantural sophistication. It is neither a pure civil engineering work nor a pure achitectural building. This is not the optimum shape to be considered as engeneering. I do not feel it warm to be architecture.

i live in milwakee and have for twenty years now and this building just blew me away it is one of the finest buildings i have seen in my life time. exciting interiors, amazing detail of structure and a view to kill for. Calatrva is an amazing person and this shows in all his architecture.

his work is absolutely amazing, in every meaning of the word!! such a great connection between structural engineering and arcitectural art! I saw his project for olympic village in atina 2004 and I was impresed by his complete work. World needs this kind of people!!
